I am currently working in the studio producing three new tracks (not related to the new album). These include a re-recording of "Twa Corbies", and ancient Yorkshire folk song "Lyke Wake Dirge" and a new Bathory cover. These are the first Oakenshield recordings to feature live drums, and the tracks are gradually taking shape, with the bass, guitar and synth parts already recorded. I can't say yet when they will be released or on what format, but it will most likely be a free MP3 download including artwork etc.

With regards to the album, writing is almost complete and there just a few arrangement decisions to make before finishing off. The material is much in the same vein as "Gylfaginning" but, in my opinion, with slighter darker atmospheres. I haven't decided on a title as of yet, but all will be revealed later in the year so keep looking out for updates on here and the official site.

Greek thrash metal newcomers SUICIDAL ANGELS, who currently played two very successful tours alongside KATAKLYSM and OVERKILL, have announced the so-called "Power Of Metal Tour" dates. Support will come from Enforcer (S), Cauldron (CAN) and Steelwing (S).

The album "Sanctify The Darkness" is out now on Nuclear Blast.

Reunited Massachusetts hard rockers EXTREME will release the "Take Us Alive" live 2CD and DVD on April 23 in Europe and May 4 in the U.S. via Frontiers Records.

In 2008, following a 13-year hiatus, EXTREME returned to the stage for its "Take Us Alive" world tour, which encompassed 75 cities and multiple continents in support of the band's new record, "Saudades de Rock".

This recording captures EXTREME at the peak of its game with a renewed enthusiasm led by Gary Cherone's spellbinding stage performance and powerful vocals, Nuno Bettencourt's ferocious guitar, Pat Badger's flawless bass and Kevin Figueiredo's pounding drums and spot-on back-up vocals.

Now it's official, the DVD “A Savage Symphony”, is the farewell gift from drummer MARC REIGN for the DESTRUCTION fans.

Tour-stress caused personal & musical differences, so both parties decided to go separate ways in the future.

Marc will concentrate on his rock-project “Volcano” and wants to keep himself open for other musical styles. He wants to thank all the DESTRUCTION maniacs worldwide and the band for all the great fun and support over all those years!

It’s clobberin’ time as the legendary NYC hardcore pioneers, SICK OF IT ALL, have returned with an absolutely crushing new full-length album that is going to once again redefine the genre they helped create. U.K. Black Metal Act Winterfylleth are to hit the studio in late March / beginning of April to record their follow up album to their 2008 debut ‘The Ghost Of Heritage’. The album will be recorded in Foel Studios in North Wales where renowned bands like Electric Wizard; Godflesh; Napalm Death; Porcupine Tree and Primordial have recorded their albums.

Üdv! Hát, mindig is elfoglalt ember voltam. Jelenleg több koncert-képes projecten, illetve kizárólag stúdió projecten dolgozom. Ezen kívül, producerként dolgozom és felvételeket készítek bandákkal a saját stúdiómban. Továbbá mostanában kezdtem el a munkát egy számítógépes játék, a Dark Saga zenéjén. Ezért nincs szinte majdnem semmi időm a saját kreatív dolgaimra.

Amikor végigböngésztem a Paganfest helyszíneit, és nem találtam köztük Budapestet meglehetősen csalódott lettem. Elsősorban azért, mert ez azt jelentette, hogy az Arkona sem látogat hozzánk, és meghallgatva az új albumukat a korábbiaknál is jobban sajnáltam, hogy nem hallhatom-láthatom élőben őket.
Végül egy baráti rábeszélés hatására néhányan útra keltük Bécs felé, és szinte teljes biztonsággal kijelenthetem, hogy nem bántuk meg, mert nem kellett csalódnunk sem a fellépőkben, sem a hangulatban.

Former Savatage singer Zak Stevens and his band CIRCLE II CIRCLE have just started recording their 5th album. Entitled "Consequence Of Power", this will be the 2nd concept album of the band. The release is expected for Fall 2010.

The title, artwork and full tracklisting of HELL MILITIA's forthcoming second album are finally disclosed. Recorded, mixed & mastered at BST Studio, "last station on the road to death" shows HELL MILITIA sounding more mature, subtler, darker and more focused than hitherto. Tracklisting is as follows:

Today is the release date of one of the longest awaited debut album on Polish rock/metal scene – „Tree Of Lie” by Terminal. The album features guest appearance of Virgil Donati (Planet X, Derek Sherinian Band) on drums. Several songs also include saxophone, violin or cello sounds. Cover artwork was designed by Mentalporn (Deathstars, Behemoth, Darzamat). CD version will be released in digipak format. Vancouver's BISON B.C. is set to release their 3rd album, and 2nd with Metal Blade Records, titled Dark Ages on April 13 and prepare for their upcoming tour with High on Fire, Priestess, and Black Cobra by playing a batch of dates with Shadows Fall and Baptized in Blood including two shows at the infamous SXSW festival. BISON B.C. also has plans set for a notational Canadian tour in June, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Dark Ages was recorded by Jesse Gander, who also recorded Quiet Earth, at The Hive Creative Labs in Burnaby, British Columbia and was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music.
